Ant Control in Johannesburg

Sugar ants on the counter or carpenter ants in your roof timbers both come from a nest you never see. We follow the trail back to it and treat the whole colony, so your kitchen stays clear.
- Your counters stay clear, because we go after the nest instead of the ants you can see.
- The workers carry our bait home, so the queen and the rest of the colony go down with it.
- Your kids and your animals are safe on it once it dries, and we tell you how long that takes.

Why Ants Are a Bigger Problem Than You Think.
A few ants on your counter might not seem like a big deal, but they are really just the scouts. There are a lot more hiding where you can not see them.
They Contaminate Everything They Touch
Ants crawl through the bins, the drains and the garden before walking across your kitchen counters and into your food. That is not something you want near your kids. The longer you wait, the more trails they make.
Some Bite and Sting
Some of the ants we deal with bite when they feel threatened, and the bigger sugar ants can give you a proper nip. Pharaoh ants are the bigger worry indoors, because they walk over everything and contaminate food as they go.
They Damage Your Home
Carpenter ants hollow out damp timber in roof trusses, door frames and skirtings. Caught late, the repairs get expensive, and nests in a ceiling can reach the wiring.
DIY Sprays Make It Worse
Store-bought sprays only kill the ants you can see. The queen and the rest of the colony are still down there, growing. The longer you wait, the more ants show up, and they start bringing in spiders and roaches too. You have to go after the nest, not just what is on the counter.

Signs of an Ant Infestation
Seeing just a few ants usually means there are a lot more hiding somewhere. Knowing what to look for can save you a big headache later.
Lines of Ants Marching to Food
If you spot a line of ants marching across your kitchen, bathroom, or pantry, they are heading straight for food. A steady trail means there is a colony nearby sending scouts into your home.
Ants Squeezing Through Cracks
You might see ants coming in through tiny cracks around your windows, doors, or foundation. Even the smallest gap is big enough for them to squeeze through.
Piles of Sawdust or Dirt
Little piles of soil, sawdust or wood shavings along the skirtings or under door frames mean carpenter ants are working through timber inside the house.
They Keep Coming Back
If you have tried sprays or traps and keep seeing ants come back, the colony is bigger than what you can deal with on your own.
A Strange Smell When Crushed
Some ants give off a weird smell when you squish them. People say it smells like rotten coconut. If you notice that, you are probably dealing with odorous house ants.
Mounds Near Your Foundation
Dirt mounds near your foundation, patio, or walkway are ant nests. Those ants are not going to stay outside for long. They are working their way into your house.
Sudden Surge in Warm Weather
When it gets warm or rainy, ants go crazy. The weather pushes them inside looking for a dry spot, food, and water.

Got a question we did not answer? Give us a call and we will be happy to help.
Store bought sprays only kill the ants you can see. The real problem is the colony hiding in your walls or underground. We use special baits that the worker ants carry back to the queen, and that wipes out the whole colony from the inside.
Yes, it is completely safe for everyone in your family once it dries. We use gentle, pet friendly products that only target the ants, so you can stop worrying.
You will start seeing a big difference in just a few days. You might still spot a few ants picking up the bait and carrying it back to the nest. That is actually a good sign. It means the treatment is doing its job.
Most of the time, you can stay right at home. Our treatments do not fill the room with bad smells or harsh fumes. If we ever need you to step out for a bit, we will always let you know well ahead of time.
It is really frustrating, but ants showing up does not mean your house is dirty. They sneak in through the tiniest cracks in your foundation, around windows, or even along pipes. All they need is a little bit of water and a crumb or two, and they will stick around.
No, we will not. We do not like forcing people into contracts. We will fix your ant problem and we can talk about plans to keep them away long term, but you are never locked in.
Just give us a call. We want to make sure your home stays ant free. If they show up again before your next planned visit, we will come back out and take care of it for free.
